just recently, the libretro core version of b2 has received a contribution and is now available for iOS, tvOS and MacOS. The latter was supported anyway, but I did not set it up due to lack of test environment.
That brings the question, would you have any objections for it to be included for the App Store version of RetroArch?

No objections - this sounds good to me! (I wonder how well it'll run on my iPhone 12 Mini?!) I'll also add some notes to the README about this, including the App Store link (so I'll leave this issue open for now).
I can't provide any end user support for libretro b2, but any emulation bugs that reproduce in ordinary b2 can go on the b2 issues list and I'll get to them eventually.
