Open source is not free, there's a cost:

I've been doing open source for many years now, created and maintained a ton of Meteor.js packages like CollectionFS / push notifications / GroundDB etc., vs code extension for debugging perl, and in the Create React App maintainer group driving the Webpack 5 upgrade, PlatformPlatform etc.

• CollectionFS - 1.1k ⭐
• push - 514 ⭐
• GroundDB - 572 ⭐
• Create React App - 102k 🌟
• PlatformPlatform - 192 ⭐ (and growing)

Open source takes effort and time, if it's "free" it means someone else is paying for it 😉
