Hi, I'm creating a custom dataset to use on TSAI but I am slightly confused by the differences between samples, features and target. Could someone please advise if my thought process behind the following is correct:
Sample: The number of samples or readings in your dataset (e.g. 60 in UCR OliveOil) - am I correct in assuming this is broken down by Feature; where if you have 60 samples for feature 1 these will be numbered 1-60, and 60 for feature 2 will also be numbered 1-60 rather than 61-180?
Feature: From what I understand, if I had a dataset with only one modality (variable) then the value of 'Feature' for each reading would be consistent (e.g. 1?). If it is multivariant/multidimensional then feature would correlate to the modality/variable the sample is taken from.
Target: This is the value I am most unsure about. I believe it correlates to the class the readings belong to. (e.g. if I had a dataset with 10 classes then I would have values of 1-10 for Target depending on what class the reading belongs to.
