What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. start a timer, using any preset or custom
2. observe that the progress bar fills completely in the first second, and then 
drains over time, instead of following the convention of filling over time
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The progress bar should grow while the timer is running, and end up full. I 
should appear empty, but filling when the timer is started, even for large 
custom timers.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
0.9.3, 0.9.5

Please provide any additional information below.
I found this confusing, and thought the program was broken, so I downloaded all 
versions to see if it was a new bug.
