window resizing should work better and redraw gracefully

Currently I've got zero support for window resizing. A future version should

• resize gracefully
• probably bring that resizing to start-up

I have to be a little careful because, e.g, if the screen gets too small for a puzzle, it should stop the timer and suspend navigation and such, but still allow the user to save progress and quit, if necessary
