Hey there!

For the past few days with version 1.0.2 and 1.0.3 of Hooked I've been crashing seemingly at random when firing a hook.
The crash report can be found here: https://paste.dimdev.org/ridaxohidi.mccrash

It's not an immediate crash, I'll fire at a block and can usually get to the destination before it crashes.

Forge: Forge 14.23.4.2758
Using MultiMC

Let me know if you need more info. =-)

Notes: I've had issues with devs in the past with the amount of mods I typically play with.
So just in case this is a problem that you have with my setup: yes I know it's a lot of mods, yes I know conflicts are expected, no I don't expect this to run flawlessly.

You aren't the first with that error, and I may have an idea as to what it may be.

Awesome, best of luck with it!

I can't seem to reproduce it. Are you using a curse pack? If so can you send it to me so I can test with all your mods as well?

I am, but it has been modified.

The base is Enigmatica 2: Expert, v1.34, which can be found here:
https://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/enigmatica2expert/files/2597284

Seeing as this is for troubleshooting only, I don't see a problem giving you a download for the additions.
That can be found here:
https://drive.google.com/open?id=1PD_w3jiOrTSABPTkrVZiJrjWISqU9Eds

I also did a few subtractions from the base pack, and those are detailed in the download as well, in the subtractions text file.
Lastly, I updated a few mods due to various other problems which are contained in a separate folder.

Also of note are the Java parameters.
I've allocated 12gb (12288mb) of RAM to the game with the following additional parameters:
-XX:+UseG1GC -XX:+UnlockExperimentalVMOptions -XX:MaxGCPauseMillis=100 -XX:+DisableExplicitGC -XX:TargetSurvivorRatio=90 -XX:G1NewSizePercent=50 -XX:G1MaxNewSizePercent=80 -XX:InitiatingHeapOccupancyPercent=10 -XX:G1MixedGCLiveThresholdPercent=50 -XX:+AggressiveOpts -XX:+AlwaysPreTouch

I'm currently using Java 8.181.

I'm not sure if all that information is needed, but I figured it best to provide it nevertheless.

I may be jinxing myself here, but so far the problem hasn't come back.
This is just a guess, but it seemed to stop crashing after I upgraded the iron hook to the diamond hook.

I'll be playing a bit more today, so we'll see what happens.

I have hit a similar crash just now while doing some quest development based science on my personal copy of my modpack "Transcendence".

I got hit by it just now when I had just used a comforts hammock to sleep on a few times in a row to see what it's mechanics were. I then grappled down out of a tree into a patch of grass or pam's harvestcraft gardens and it crashed upon impact. I haven't come across this one ever before except for just now. but it's the same crash related to kotlin and teamwizardry etc.

I have the same issue but with a different crash:
(VanillaFix was used to capture the crash, so I am able to continue playing as it is a clientside crash)
https://paste.dimdev.org/turuwokiqa.mccrash

The pack is custom made, and I can provide a download link if you need it for testing purposes.

EDIT for additional info:
The crash first seems to happen when I launch my Red Hook, and I am transported to the first spot it lands, but the hook does not "stick." I can continue to use the hook as intended afterwards (requiring me to fire my hook at the original block again to form the full area), but VanillaFix states that the game is repeatedly crashing as I move around.

Double edit: The crash seems to be happening consistently now. It looks like this:
