Things you remember when packing... actually comitting the changes.
So I just added more details on some of the competencies where we discussed that more information would be useful.
Some are still very brief, but more details would mean much more details in my opinion.
Additionally, some more information can be gained from the tables as we opted for written information there.
So I think we should add a reference to the tables in the intro to the competencies subsection.
I'm happy to do that if you all think that's a good idea.

thanks @jpthiele ! I'm for brevity there, although the definition of different awareness levels might be worthwhile there.

On the topic of this issue, I checked my workshops and have worked in the respective results.

  1. What would be the best place to incorporate these?
Maybe this is more like a checklist for us to see if the manuscript talks about all of these topics somewhat?

Hi Samantha,
yes this is my checklist that we have incorporated all the feedback by our workshop participants.

@HeidiSeibold Could you make sure, your part on the organization from the workshop is worked in:

Will do. @jpthiele did you write anything from your group yet? If so, could you point me to it?

The TOP 5 things are mostly worked into the competencies. What I did not yet figure out is where the "getting in touch with the community" fits in, but possibly with the SW Repos somewhere.

Our group discussed a lot about what the TOP 5 things were so our discussion on certificates was rather short compared to your group, so I did not start anything there yet. But I'd be happy to write something later today or next week.

For item 6 we now have the-teachingRSE-project/competencies#21 . Please have a look at it!

@HeidiSeibold I started a new branch for the certificates and tried to work in as much of the feedback from both of our groups as possible. Some of the more specific examples I left out because I'm missing a bit of context as they are from your group.
Feel free to comment and edit on the branch

Note, that we might need to separate between certification programs for properly specialized RSEs and between RSE-like scientists.

Thanks @jpthiele, I am drowning a little right now but will contribute asap.
