It's been a while since we didn't make any progress to v6. You can see the current state here.
There are only 5 tickets pending. Only 2 of them include breaking changes, but they have been delayed for now. The other 3 are enhancements that can be released at any point.
So I'm in favor of releasing the v6 as-is. What do you think @testing-library/eslint-plugin ?
