Pre-issue checklist

  • I've searched the issue list but couldn't find the feature I want

How would you like Tango to be improved?

I would like the ability to disable the apps list that pops up whenever you connect to the virtual display. this would improve compatibility with desktop launchers such as Sentio Desktop, Andromium OS, and Taskbar. I believe this would also work with Samsung dex due to it being recognized as an external display, but I have no way to test that currently.

How do you think it should work?

add a toggle on the "Video" card labeled "Apps List"

I want to disable the app list automatically when those apps are detected, but I can get Sentio Desktop and Andromium OS to work, they don't show anything on virtual displays.

How are they supposed to work?

Ok, so I just tested it. Apparently they don't work the way I thought they did. Have you tried taskbar? Taskbar works on secondary displays when the force desktop mode on external displays option is enabled. I have found another launcher that works with desktop mode. It is called smart dock. It comes from Bliss OS.
