Branch Name Not Showing In Mercurial Repo

prwd does not display the branch name of a mercurial repo if the .hg/branch file is missing. This file does not seem to be created until explicitly switching to a branch for the first time. This issue was encountered while using prwd in a freshly initialized mercurial repo, with one commit on the default branch.
