the current documentation about how to get tagtimed.pl running on startup didn't work for me. I think a better thing to recommend would be a Login Items integration. to get that working personally, I followed the instructions in this StackOverflow for creating an application with Automator that just calls the tagtimed.pl script. I can then just drop this into my Login Items in the System Preferences
it might be a good idea if the project documents this or even provides a pre-built OS X application wrapper
