Speedresult sometimes totally broken #44
Comments
It looks liek there is an error where upload is being measured wrongly. I have a 1GB/1GB fiber connection. Speedtest++ 1.14 reports about 200Mbit - but using the ookla webclient gives a correct result of about 900Mbit. This is an issue I have also seen with the speedtest_cli client before. (and the reason I actually changed to the Speedtest++ client) |

I tested this on a DOCSIS 3.1 modem connection, where my PC went through several 1Gbit link ethernet interfaces, before hitting the internet, so it's impossible that i have 1062.22 Mbit/s download speed. This was my first test after I noticed that Gentoo prompted me to install this tool, instead of Ooklas speedtest-cli as seen below:
I will be filing a bug with Gentoo about this, because this tool does not deliver accurate measurements. |
I got this

This is a 5G 1000Mbit/s links, so that's not possible.. I run this every 10 minutes and it happens multiple times per day.
