Benefit of compiling salesforce lightning as src, not as package? #3

Hello,

I use your previous create-react-app instructions and have lightning components rendering ( using typescript ) without ejecting. And then i happened upon this project and I wondered what benefit this gets me.

this will compile salesforce lightning as src, not as package
