Team

What do we value the most?

That’s easy - people:

  • even though we provide outsourced development services, we handle each project with due care as if it were product development. We ensure the high quality of our apps, and improve the in-house tooling, methods, and procedures, to do our projects proper justice;
  • that being said, we understand that our most valuable resource is our people. Minimum bureaucracy, engaging projects, team rotations, and an opportunity to choose the course of your personal growth.

Area of expertise

A versatile portfolio of projects:

  • FinTech — applications for banks and exchanges
  • eCommerce — a wide range of online stores and loyalty programs, starting from small businesses and all the way up to the largest market players
  • FoodTech — food orders and delivery
  • Enterprise apps that help to streamline the in-house procedures of the client
  • Healthcare apps that help to get an appointment or aid the healthcare personnel
  • Education platforms, social media, etc.

These could easily be small projects with a team of a few people lasting a few months. Or they could be large systems with a dozen people on the team and support and development lasting for far over a year.

Team and department structure

  • The department is run by the head of ios;
  • Each team of developers has a team-lead, a person not only responsible for the technical implementation of a project but also for helping developers in their teams on their path to growth.

Besides that, there are the following growth areas with a dedicated person responsible for each of them within the department:

  • technological advances
  • personnel communications
  • recruitment
  • trainee jobs and mentorship
  • tech PR
  • sales

Growth opportunities

We help our talent to evolve:

  • our transparent grading system helps to find gaps in the skills they have
  • that said, we grade not only the technical skills but the teamwork as well
  • regular 1 to 1’s with a manager helps employees get timely feedback on their performance or leave feedback on their manager

Anything besides projects?

  1. Team meetings — weekly online meetings where we take a look at the newest technologies and methods, share what we’ve learned on various projects, share our successes and failures or simply hold quizzes and award the winners
  2. Studio activities — we work on creating and supporting open-source projects or exclusively in-house solutions
  3. Tech PR — each department member is free to write articles, hold live coding, record podcasts, and speak at meetups and conferences. That said, they can always expect help and advice from their senior colleagues and the dev-rel team
  4. Personnel training — employees can take part in various training programs available for beginners or help onboard a newcomer to their team
  5. Recruitment — there’s an opportunity to take part in recruitment by reviewing candidates or taking part in job interviews
  6. Corporate parties (both large and in separate departments), training meetups (e.g., how to hold effective 1-to-1 talks, manage your time or make decisions), surf-coffee, where random employees meet to chat, and much more

Perks

The good stuff we offer our employees:

  • minimum bureaucracy and a large chunk of our in-house procedures automated: whether it is requesting vacation or a shoehorn
  • flexible hours
  • working from your home office anywhere in the world
  • work devices provided (if needed)
  • rewards, including monetary ones, for anything you do outside your project (e.g., taking part in TechPR activities)
  • an opportunity to get private health insurance
