client.user_followers_gql_chunk() end_cursor?

What does the end_cursor return when it reaches the end:
I found this code in the module:

def user_followers_gql_chunk(self, user_id: str, max_amount: int = 0, end_cursor: str = None) -> Tuple[List[UserShort], str]:
...
while True:
... 
  end_cursor = page_info.get("end_cursor")
  if not page_info.get("has_next_page") or not end_cursor:
    break
  if max_amount and len(users) >= max_amount:
    break
   return users, end_cursor

the function is annotated as the end_cursor would always be an str. Does this mean that when there is not next_page, end_cursor return an empty string ( "", in python bool("") evaluates to False )

Also, which of the methods user_followers_gql_chunk or user_followers_v1_chunk, should I be using? I can log in in the client session

1. Does that mean I should be using v1
2. Does the gql version use any instance of me being logged in, or it doesn't matter ( gql runs the same whether I'm logged in or not )
3. If not logged in, will the gql version ever give me a RequiredLogin ?
4. Does the MaxID in the v1 version, work the same way as end_cursor works in the gql version ?

1. No, you can use whatever suits you best
2. If Instagram forbids receiving content without a login, then gql will try to use the session and make requests not anonymously
