I was out and listened to a presentation and took notes on my Android phone and synced. When I got back to my Mac I synced, and got a version of the note, but not the latest one, some information was missing. When I took up my phone and synced again, the fresh information disappeared from my phone and the note was replaced with an old version, the same I got in my computer.

Combined with all other problems I have experienced this makes me give up on this plugin for the time being. I'll just have to pay for Obsidian's own sync.

There's just one way this can happen:
You took the notes, it started syncing, but maybe due to network issues it took longer to upload the file, and before the upload was completed you might have quit the app. On desktop there's an indicator to show that sync is ongoing but nothing such can be done for mobile devices, so only the previous sync was successful, however still this should not cause the file to get overwritten on mobile, but probably on the Mac the upload was triggered again and that not only re-uploaded the old content but unfortunately updated the sync time.

will try and figure out how to avoid such issues.

thank you so much for testing the plug-in with so much patience and reporting issues with detailed information. sorry for the slow development cycle, i have gotten busier with other things lately. i agree the experience might be very rough right now, but i hope you star and watchlist this repo and keep an eye on this plug-in and come back very soon once the issues are sorted :)

I tried to manually trigger the sync from the phone when I saw the last sync time was old. Obviously it didn't work, and I lost a phone number I had written down when the newer file in the phone was overwritten.

The Obsidian sync seems to be working very smoothly, so I might just stick to it, especially as it also encrypts the files. But it would be great to have a free alternative.
