https://help.readwise.io/article/125-how-does-the-readwise-to-obsidian-export-integration-work

readwise basically exports all files to a folder named "readwise" at obsidian base vault , right next to all md notes and folders

so it should work with gdrive sync technically, but somehow it doesnt ?

to add to it, manually uploading from the plugin's "upload all" option DOES update, and the folder structure is retained ! however it needs manual upload for it to work, and it doesnt sync

all the files are uploaded as single files, but the folder structure still remains somehow (maybe it's in metadata idk)

folder strucutre is preserved as seen in the screenshot below (obsidian/readwise/books)

the plug-in doesn't worry about maintaining the folder structure in Drive, it uploads and syncs all the files with their "relative paths" with respect to the vault as their file names.

so a file named "sample note" stored under "folder 2" which itself is stored under "folder 1" would be uploaded as a file whose name would be: "folder 1/folder 2/sample note"

so for your readwise folder the files are probably stored as: "Readwise/Books/Quick Passages" on Google Drive. Try and check on the Drive app/website to confirm it.

i will try and personally test the plug-in with the Readwise plugin installed when i get time to see if there's any issue with it.
