In my experience using the stellar events subcommand, the main thing I'm usually looking for are contract events.

However the subcommand outputs all events, including diagnostic events. There's no way to filter out diagnostic events.

The rpc getEvents function does have support for filtering on event type (e.g. contract, diagnostic):

At the very least filtering should be made possible on:

  • event type (diagnostic, contract, system)
  • contract ID
