i = sort.Search(len(c.sortedHashes), f)
if i >= len(c.sortedHashes) {
i = 0
}

seems like i is never greater than len(c.sortedHashes)

 i = sort.Search(len(c.sortedHashes), f) 
 if i == len(c.sortedHashes) { 
 	i = 0 
 }
