I would like the option of including other hashes manually from the UI. I think right now the only way to include fingerprints is by creating the scene from stash, but then the fingerprints are limited only to the ones that stash creates and it would be better to have more algorithms so that programs that use those algorithms may use the stash-box api without having to remake their hashing to include a new algorithm specifically to use for stash-box.

ed2k links are no different from torrents, in terms of piracy. as far as I know that is not the goal of the stash/stash-box project.

in terms of hashes having a hash that links to one file only,
it's no different than the MD5 algorithm, which was/is extremely common, or any other checksum that is calculated from the entire file's content. but they're slow to calculate on large files and pretty useless for the purposes of matching, unless you have the exact same file.

I don't know why I closed this, but I've encountered this problem again. I was trying to add a scene with a fingerprint but I can only do that from stash. While this feature isn't implemented, is there a script or any other way of importing a scene with fingerprint without using stash?
