This developer release features:
- a new address-based social proof verifications system
- a new bitcoin wallet that is derived from your identity key
- a new username registration process that is both faster and cheaper
- an improved sign in process (fixes #864)
NOTE: The new bitcoin wallet is stored in the browser and secured by the same key as your identity. This is a change from prior versions where we were the bitcoins were stored in a separate wallet from your identity. To migrate the bitcoins from follow the instructions here.
Known issues
These will be fixed in an upcoming release:
- You will need to restore your account after upgrading to this version for proper behavior. #562
- Your Blockstack ID information will not be saved unless you have a username. If you edit your Blockstack ID before adding a username, adding a username will cause it to disappear. #866
- After adding a username, the name may take a while to display or indicate it is ready to use when in fact it is not. #864
Names purchased in a pre-release version prior to v0.10.0 will need to be transferred to the production keychain location with a future tool.

Linux users should use the included launcher script to start and use Blockstack Browser. The supplied windows installer sets up a docker environment for installing and using Blockstack Browser
