I've recently compiled the Avalonia "ControlCatalog" sample app (https://github.com/AvaloniaUI/Avalonia/tree/master/samples/ControlCatalog.NetCore) because I was curious if there were any useful UI controls available in Avalonia that I didn't know of.

One thing that caught my eye was the builtin popup-notification feature:

notification

I could imagine this replacing our current update notification UI.
Thoughts, @josegomez?

Haven't tested yet, but I just blindly assumed it would, given that it seems to be a "stock" Avalonia feature.

Just checked, seems to work identically well on our dearest of friends as well.
(except for that the icon is missing, but I guess that's more of an implementation problem in the Control Catalog)
