@rgov i had thought we fixed this issue. turns out native base reintroduced it.
GeekyAnts/NativeBase#5111

so i had introduced this bug back in march when updating native base for other UI fixes. this is now addressed with a shim for select to workaround the safari bug

will be deployed in
#173
