The JRuby project seeks to bring the power and performance of the Java platform to the Ruby world. It was born almost 20 years ago, and for the last 15 has seen varying levels of limited sponsorship. Work never ends, however, and as long as Ruby and Rails keep cranking out new versions we will need to keep up. We are fully open source, with a mix of Java, Ruby, and C/++ in our code base and related libraries.

Your sponsorship will help pay for some of the following needs:

• Development tools that are not otherwise free
• Cloud services including hosting and dev support
• Targeted bug bounties for expert-level tasks
• Access to exotic hardware and operating systems
• Community outreach like conferences, stickers, t-shirts

We believe the combination of open Java and JRuby can be the best way to deploy Ruby applications, but we need your help to keep compatibility high, performance increasing, and users engaged.
