Who am I? 👆

I am a self-taught programmer, who started as a linguist interested in Natural Language Processing, but somehow stumbled into the pure functional paradigm. My focus right now is on Haskell and its ecosystem. After 10 years of industry experience (mostly as Lead Developer) and almost as many years participating in open source projects on the side, I feel that getting sponsorships to focus my effort on OSS would help the community and companies relying on the Haskell ecosystem the most.

Prior work 📚

Outside of my current closed source work, I maintain the safe-json and http-types libraries on my own and am co-maintainer of the password and wai / warp libraries (and the related packages).

Motivation ⚒

I'd like to do more for the Haskell ecosystem and open source projects in general, so that is why I'm open to sponsorships at the moment.

Things that would be high on my list:

• working on making the breakages new GHC releases introduce more tolerable;
• finding ways to alleviate the transition of projects to newer GHC releases;
• helping libraries stay on Stack LTSes when dependencies get updated;
• supporting important libraries/packages with their issues;
