App installs/opens fine on osx 10.13.6 but the button for selection of folder isn't doing anything/opening a finder window...

Sorry to hear. Unfortunately I don't have a 10.13 machine to test with, and won't be making any more changes to the current macOS version. For the next major version, the macOS version has been rewritten natively in Swift on XCode, which should provide a better experience. I hope to have it out in the coming months.
