PortAudioError: Error querying device -1

Hi,
I was trying to play an audio array, but the following error raised:

PortAudioError: Error querying device -1

I updated the PortAudio library but it doesn't fix the problem, and tried uninstalling/installing sounddevice again with the same bad result.
I'm using Ubuntu 16.04 with Anaconda.

In case somebody else has the same problem, can you please describe what exactly you did to solve this?

This looks like a problem with the PortAudio package of Anaconda, probably you should raise an issue there?

I removed the file "anaconda3/lib/libstdc++.so.6" and replaced with "/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libstdc++.so.6".

Yes, I think is the best option too. I will do it soon.

@TheButlah @MehrshadK I had success removing the entire conda-installed version of portaudio (rather than just the libstdc++ file) as describe here: #74 (comment)

I'm using Ubuntu 18.04 with Anaconda 4.5.12.
I did use below commands and python-sounddevice working properly:
conda install -c conda-forge python-sounddevice
conda install -c conda-forge/label/gcc7 python-sounddevice
conda install -c conda-forge/label/cf201901 python-sounddevice

Install python-sounddevice in anaconda:
https://anaconda.org/conda-forge/python-sounddevice

Hi all,
while writing the following line, I am getting error
recording = sd.rec(int(duration * freq), samplerate=freq, channels=2)

Error: recording = PortAudioError: Error querying device -1

Can anyone solve my problem please
