Thank you for reporting this issue.
I guess you have a lot chat history items, which may slowdown/halt the Cody extension?
A workaround is to delete the complete chat history if it is applicable for you.

I do because I am working on multiple projects at a time and am trying to use cody.ai as my main ai assistant and put him in autonomous mood at night to accomplish a lot of task while i am sleeping.

@Ace1169 Before using Cody again and the IDE stays IDLE overnight, it may hang because of some network glitches. Simply reload the IDE before using it again.
May I ask on how you put it into automatic mode?
