run linkchecker in container

in order to run the link checker in a container (as a cron), it seems less obvious to run another docker container from the container, what are the options to include the link checker script in this repository directly?

• as a dependency from pip?
• as a git submodule

to facilitate image build i want to include a Dockerfile in root of this repo
