Any plans to migrate OpenTracing to OpenTelemetry?

Is there a plan to migrate OpenTracing to OpenTelemetry once it's mature enough?t OpenTracing and OpenCensus are merging into OpenTelemetry (https://medium.com/opentracing/merging-opentracing-and-opencensus-f0fe9c7ca6f0), so the existing projects will no longer be maintained & supported:

It appears like there will be native support for Jaeger too, but from what I can see the development is moving fast, and there is probably a number of breaking changes at the moment.

We were not aware of that tbh, but sure if OpenTelemetry will be mature enough when we will definitely migrate the Tracing packages.

Actually I think we could make some PoC on the seaprated branch. Will look at this soon :)

Great, thanks for the quick response. I watched your Convey screencast yesterday and was super excited to see what you guys are building, great job! I've been working on a PoC covering CQRS, DDD, Prometheus Metrics, Distributed Tracing, Repository Pattern implemented with Dapper etc., so I'm very keen to take a closer look at Convey.

Thanks! I've heard about OpenTelemetry (found it on CNCF), as well as about OpenMetrics, yet since it's still in the Sandbox projects section, that's probably one of the reasons why we haven't implemented it yet.
