Hey everyone!
Skeleton is celebrating yet another amazing milestone today - our one year anniversary! That's right, February 23rd marks a year since the initial commit for the project. While we're so very close to the v1.0 release, I wanted to take this opportunity to reach out and and say thanks everyone that's helped us reach this momentous occasion.
As you may know by now, I initially created Skeleton along with developer Thomas Jespersen to solve a very real world problem - creating a highly dynamic and adaptive frontend tech stack that utilizes the best of Svelte and Tailwind. Thomas, along with our mentor Trey Weir, were instrumental in the creation of what was originally the internal component library for Brain & Bones.
Fast forward to August of last year and Trey, once again, was extremally helpful in opening the library up and embracing open source development. As well as well as becoming my partner for Skeleton Labs, which will soon introduce assets like templates and premium support for Skeleton.
Furthermore, if you've used Skeleton then you've probably crossed path with our awesome core team members. They've introduced key features such as the CLI (created by Nik), the auto-documentation system through Sveld (setup with Rhys), and the recent Tailwind IntelliSense improvements (by Adrian). Likewise moderators Dominik, Luke, and Brent have been invaluable in supporting our rapidly growing community! Helping keep things supportive and inclusive.
More than that though, they have gone out of their way behind the scenes to help encourage me to keep going, even through the trials and tribulations that come from building a large project in the open like this. These guys have sacrificed their time to help make Skeleton better for everyone involved. Thank you so guys, you rock!
Finally, I can't end without saying thanks to YOU, our community members. It's through your gracious contributions, sponsorship, and encouragement that we've been able to continue building such an awesome library. Just know that v1 is right around the corner, and I can't wait to see what you build with Skeleton.
Thanks again everyone, and happy birthday Skeleton!
All the best,
Chris
