By doing so, we could ensure that our projects always start at a point of optimal performance. This would greatly improve our ability to comparatively monitor performance during initial development of multiple projects.

I love the idea but would like to discuss wether lighthouse ci is the tool or lighthouse itself which can also be used from the cli. Also which should be the url to test? The live website or a Styleguide page prototype.

Both have pros and cons. Mostly it is about wether we want server-monitoring or QS.
