if you move and your keyboard repeat is set to 255 per second, it really lags the client.
this is remedied by disabling keyboard repeat before playing, but that's a rather painful task--so we should have better repeat detection

There's already code to ignore repeats, is this a matter of detecting and ignoring the repeats earlier? i.e., if you run with repeats on and use the profiler, is it obvious that its just spending all its time in the code between GLGE event dispatch and the scripts handlers?
