Smooth scrolling works fancy on Windows, but large amount of users found smooth scroll in Mac browsers quite annoying.
Most developers don't test sites on OS X and don't use a browser detection code.

Maybe turn in off by default?

Hi, I've yet found this problem...
what can I do to display well on the Mac?

well it's not quite about Mac OS in general, it's about the touch pad and Magic mouse which are basically the same. It doesn't work quite as expected with those.

But if u connect any other mouse to the mac it works just like on windows.

In conclusion, u should detect the touchpad and disable smooth scrolling
