filling in a number fails in chrome

When filling in a NUMBER as answer to the question fails (incorrect answer) in chrome on live site. (ss3.5.3)

On my mamp-server, it does work though.

I even tried to use older version like this, but no luck

"silverstripe/mathspamprotection":"*",

Does anybody have a clue on how to fix this.?

It has never been a problem until now. I've got several clients who reported this issue. Has anybody had this too?

no, it's on and it's happening only in chrome.
