Due to the nature of discord reactions, people can quickly react to a message to activate the bot and then remove their reaction, letting them flood channels with reminders of messages iwazaru hadn't already sent messages for.
This makes it impossible to moderate people who dig through old messages to abuse the bot to essentially push problematic words to the channel for no reason except to either be annoying or try and get a reaction out of people.
It could also be worth it to just allow iwazaru to log all people who use a reaction instead of people who do so in quick succession, most bots seem to log a lot so I don't really see a reason not to, but considering the more mundane use of the bot it might not be ideal.
Alternatively, it could be worthwhile to make it so that iwazaru doesn't reply to messages older than a specific threshold, but that seems like more of a bandaid fix since sometimes that can be helpful.
