iPad app crashes reproducibly when typing in non-fullscreen mode

Bug description

The iPad / iOS app from the Apple appstore crashes often when

• waking it up/starting and
• the app window is in non-fullscreen mode

Steps to reproduce

• open app on iOS
• resize window to size smaller than fullscreen
• start typing or pasting into an open chat window and usually after a few seconds the app crashes
• reopening leads to the entered text mostly gone and another crash if typing continues

App should not crash.

Addtl Info:

• This happens since at least a few versions back.
• It seems that the iOS allow dialog ‚Signal wants to copy text from Textastic, allow?‘ also only works when the app is in fullscreen mode. In non fullscreen-mode I only get crashes and no dialog.
