Bug Report

Description

Upgrading to Talos 1.10.0-alpha1 with secureboot image using the following command, fails with an error.

talosctl upgrade --image=factory.talos.dev/installer-secureboot/a0d85752a60803cbcc96b6af34c077000d0b170373fc55f8c0f949dee1b4669a:v1.10.0-alpha.1 -n 192.168.91.9

Logs

Error: failed to install bootloader: error copying /usr/install/amd64/vmlinuz.efi --> /boot/EFI/EFI/Linux/Talos-v1
.10.0-alpha.1.efi: open /usr/install/amd64/vmlinuz.efi: no such file or directory

Environment

  • Talos version: 1.9.3
  • Kubernetes version: 1.32.1
  • Platform: Bare-Metal

There might be issues on upgrades with alpha versions, the Image Factory hasn't been updated yet.

Tried upgrading again, but same issue.

The image factory hasn't been updated yet (you can see the version at https://factory.talos.dev).
