How to use this method for the custom person? (How to create the template mesh for custom person?)

Template mesh for each person may be tracked by their earlier work, VHAP which has been also used in GaussianAvatars.

Thank you for your interest in the work. We used the open source FLAME tracker to track the meshes. The template mesh T is then obtained by zeroing out the flame parameters (expression, head/jaw/eye pose etc) except the shape params. We will release these trackings for our dataset.
If you want to run tracking for custom person from your dataset, you can use this tracker if you need shape offsets. Otherwise this tracker is also good.
