Is it possible to add media/images to a diary note?

I am needing a method to make animal records that records date, time, images and allows comments. Is it possible to add images when creating a diary note? Or alternatively, I have created a form that will attach to an animal with images, but can it be saved incomplete or edited later so that comments can be made directly to that form? Thank you
