Especially on Win64 where rdi is non-volatile, it's a lot of instructions.

Possible improvements:

  • stores zeros when that'd be fewer instructions
  • memset all the locals at the same time rather than each individually if it'd be smaller
  • call out to helper if it'd be shorter
