Left align copy for each myth #9
Comments
Hi @adamjohnson, thanks for commenting! I'm getting your point, I was thinking that for the such a short text it won't be a problem. From the design perspective centered version looks much better, what do you think? |
IMO if there was only one myth per page, center aligned text could work. That said, since there are XX myths which are all center aligned, I think this makes them harder to read one after the other. As usual, your results may vary. :-) |
My name is @yamanoku, and I translated this into Japanese. The Japanese is left-justified, as it is easier to read the text starting from the left side rather than centering it. |
Well, at the end accessibility is not about blindly following WGAC, but about how usable is a website for people. If beautifully centered text breaks the general readability, then it needs to be fixed. |
@stevefaulkner what do you think of centering vs. aligning to the left? |
Left aligning the myth text makes them more readable because your eye returns to the same spot on the left for each new line. Rule #11 from Practical Typography states that we should use centered text sparingly.
