Want to know how set chrome preference for auto download the pdf files instead of viewing

Hello Team,

I am working on BDD framework which we have been using Selenium with jbehave and serenity. I tried to use selenium robotic classes(using tab key to enable the button for 13 0r 12 iterations) to enable the "Download PDF files instead of automatically opening them in Chrome" but every time the iterations are changed dynamically.

So I have decided to set chrome or any other browser preference under properties file. Could you help me on how to set preferences to auto download the pdf instead of opening in browser.
