Annotations defined at the entity level should take precedence over check defined annotations. This precedence is currently working backwards for bloomreach(re: Roshan Varughese).

This issue has also been noticed with the sensu-email-handler as well with the ToEmail parameter annotation definitions at the check level taking precedence over the entity definitions
