How to retrieve filtered options for <SelectMenu />

For <SelectMenu>, is there any built-in way to retrieve the filtered options for parents to use?

Having a workaround right now where I can get the filter string w/ onFilterChange & use fuzzaldrin to mimic the filter function (ref), but just curious if there's another way to achieve this w/o having to worry about Evergreen changing the filter function in the future and results in a mismatch.
