Game Won’t launch in VR

There is no longer a setting to disable steam VR in theatre, in properties, or in the settings menu in game or on desktop.

The game launches on a 2d screen in Steam VR Home and won’t launch in VR.

How can I fix this and is this mod still working or did the latest steam update break the mod?

Having same issue after steam vr update. Ill wait for your update as I refuse to go back to playing in flatscreen after playing this mod.

I’ve been waiting for a while. Hopefully a solution comes up. I can’t even begin to imagine how fun Left 4 dead would be in VR.

first time trying this today. the menu is 2D. but loading into a campaign actually plays in VR

The menu is and always been in 2d. To change the Theater solutions you now have to do it directly in SteamVR. Follow the steps here. https://youtu.be/_T1iDNJznjg?si=hNvA292e-na5RlrB

Haven't found a way to make it work personally, above video didn't help.

I tried that a long time ago as well. No luck either.
