Hi,

is it possible to publish a new release on puppetforge?

Thanks!

Cheers,
otterz

Me, too.
Looking for something to use on PE 2018.1.4 / Puppet Agent 5.5.6
voxpupuli/puppet-rsyslog does not work for me.

Any updates for a new release supporting Agent 5.5.6? Thanks

@linuxdan As I'm curious, why is puppet/rsyslog not usable for you?
I need to find out, if I'm willing to invest more time in this module or if there is a (better) maintained alternative.

@saz So you won't release a new version on puppet forge?

@otterz Not saying that, I'd just like to make sure, that my time spent on this module still makes sense :-)

@saz In a nutshell, puppet/rsyslog seems to be more concerned with the server side.
I was trying to use it for client side only

Your module seems to me, more suitable than the puppet/rsyslog for our use case.

It's not difficult to get it working at a basic level with Puppet 5.x, as we are using it with 5.x with only a minor tweak.

Would be nice if the community and you can keep working on it :)

Hi @saz

Thanks for your module - we've been using it for years and are now updating to the latest release

For us, 5.0.0 isn't quite enough as it was released on Nov 19, 2016, but I would like the fixes in the commit from Jan 8, 2017 from fix #246 to delete the old client & server conf files

Is it possible to cut another forge release?

Thanks

John

⬆️ The same!

Hi,
a new relase to the forge would be great. We use the module because the puppet/rsyslog Module is lacking sensible defaults for any OS.
