Apparently, this boils down to updating some electron dependencies. So there is a good chance we will have native apple silicon support in the future, but the version change for these dependencies is so big that we have to be really careful with breaking changes introduced in the latest versions.
Thanks for the reply @ebma. I believe that is all correct. Hopefully this can be a priority at some point soon. Someday Rosetta 2 won't be supported anymore. So at some point this will become a necessity. The earlier we can get support to avoid being pushed into a situation where it doesn't work at all would be great.
Any chance we can get a build with native Apple Silicon support so that Rosetta 2 isn't required to run on Apple Silicon computers?
