I was wondering if we can do a POC on sidecar hazelcast pattern as described and see if it can increase performance.

We have used both embedded and client/server modes for one of our customers to evaluate stability and performance. Embedded was faster whereas server was more manageable. The pattern you mentioned is a nice to have, since we also target kubernetes, without breaking the current compatibility of the default modes.
