The title says it all - Wincompose 0.9.1.1 randomly crashes on windows 11 - It's there one moment, and the next, when I try to type a compose sequence, it's not - need to restart the process.

Agreed. Also, when it is running it can produce all manner of strange and unexpected characters, rather than the one you're hoping for.

Seeing bugs on Windows 11, too. Not crashing, though.

For example, when trying to enter « character by pressing opening angle quote (<) two times, I see Б< being printed instead. Note that Б cyrillic letter is mapped to the same key as < character, but in different keyboard layout; so it looks like as if WinCompose somehow lost track of current keyboard layout, or something like that. In case of this problem I just open context menu and then close it, this helps.

Also sometimes tooltip of tray icon stays displayed, until I hover the tray icon with mouse pointer again. Dunno if those bugs are related.

I've noticed in some apps / software as "grayed" says above, you get odd results. Also, if I keep trying, I get random non-repeating results. Case in point right now, typing here... let's try to get a U with an umlaut (two dots). I press ALT GR, then Shift 2 (quotes) and I get We and then {] and then Jk and then Vb and so on, rather than ü. This however is not the case in Slack or Telegram on my Win 11 PC, there, when I press ALT GR and " and then u I get ü.
